Application of artificial intelligence in the Nigerian building and construction industry

The uniqueness and inherent complexities of the construction industry require use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve its processes enhance overall competitiveness performance. This study examined awareness level application AI provide useful insights into state applications in Nigerian industry. A quantitative research design with a questionnaire was used obtain data from 53 professionals Lagos Island area State, Nigeria. included Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Civil Engineers, Builders, Estate Surveyors selected based on purposive sampling technique. Data survey were analyzed frequencies, mean, ANOVA. found that most respondents aware construction, there no difference participants irrespective their professional affiliations, organizational type, size. Generally, common among surveyed generative designs BIM, measurement estimating software, sensors intelligent buildings. Moreover, project planning be critical areas need for area. underscores investments other than BIM software productivity, performance, client satisfaction.
